While the Darkness of Siroth roots in the soul of every Demonspawn, not all surrender themselves to it. One such Demonspawn is Jintoro. His father Hintoro was a Mikage Autocracy commander who became a Demonspawn. After witnessing brutalities under the regime, Hintoro expressed regret to his son. During the Battle of the Western Track, Sylvan forces killed Hintoro, and with his dying breath he urged Jintoro to "put some good back into the world." Jintoro hunted his father's killers in the Mistwood, emerging weeks later having slain many Sylvan warriors. He eventually deserted the Mikage and became a protector of common folk, forming a band of warriors to defend villages from Autocracy raids.
